OpenAI withdrew three math papers due to a sign error, and revised 14 others.

On October 7, 2026, OpenAI withdrew three manuscripts: 'Algebraicity of Weil classes on split abelian eightfolds,' 'Algebraicity of Kuga-Satake Correspondences for K3 Surfaces,' and 'The rational Hodge conjecture for products of K3 surfaces.' A sign error invalidated a stabilization-trace cancellation argument and the construction used by two dependent papers. The withdrawn papers now carry a notice explaining the gap. Fourteen other manuscripts received fixes, including proof repairs and clearer hypotheses. Additionally, 13 manuscripts were updated to cite revised editions, and six new formalizations were added, bringing the total to 42% (300/719) of top-line results formalized.
