OnePlus halts operations in USA and Europe
Points and comments are a snapshot, not live.
OnePlus will stop selling new phones in Europe and North America.
OnePlus announced it will conclude new product rollouts in Europe and North America as part of a global strategy adjustment. Existing devices will continue to receive scheduled software updates, security patches, and after-sales support within originally committed periods. After ColorOS 17's release, eligible OnePlus users globally can voluntarily update to ColorOS and may roll back to OxygenOS. OnePlus India operations continue as usual. The community and store remain open in Europe for now.
What commenters are saying
Commenters expressed sadness but not surprise, citing the company's loss of its original value proposition (flagship specs at half price) and the departure of co-founder Carl Pei. Some defended OnePlus's current price-performance ratio, sharing positive experiences with recent Nord models. Others noted the brand's market relevance had been fading, with competitors like Nothing, Xiaomi, and Pixel offering similar value. A few pointed out that OnePlus is owned by Oppo and that the shift to ColorOS had been anticipated.
