Updates to Tailscale on jailbroken Kindles add SOCKS5/HTTP proxy and TUN modes.
An updated Tailscale KUAL plugin by greywolf1499 adds proxy mode (SOCKS5 or HTTP CONNECT on localhost:1055) and, on supported Kindles, a kernel TUN mode. Proxy mode lets apps like KOReader reach other tailnet hosts (e.g., Calibre, Wallabag, Audiobookshelf) via Tailscale. Tailscale SSH is now enabled by default, avoiding USB networking's default credentials. A separate KOReader plugin by Victoria Riley Barnett provides Tailscale proxying for KOReader on Kindle, Kobo, and PocketBook (tested on PW5/PW6), but does not make the device tailnet-accessible itself.
