A developer built a tool to turn RSS feeds into e-pubs for a pocket e-reader.
The author disliked reading blogs on a phone due to eye strain. They bought a 4.3-inch X4 e-reader from Xteink, installed the open-source Crosspoint firmware, and created a tool called feedpaper. Feedpaper uses the Feedbin API to fetch unread posts, filter out YouTube and JS-heavy feeds, and generate an e-pub. The project is on GitHub and installable via Homebrew on macOS.
