Cloudflare launches a drag-and-drop tool for temporary static site hosting that expires after 60 minutes.

Cloudflare's "Drop" product lets users upload an HTML/CSS/JS site by dragging a folder or zip file. The site is served live instantly with no account required. Deployments are active for 60 minutes, then expire unless the user claims them. Cloudflare automatically scans uploads for CSAM and other malicious content. The feature builds on the temporary accounts system introduced for Cloudflare Workers previews.

What commenters are saying

Commenters recognize the utility for sharing ephemeral demos, especially with AI-generated code. Skeptics question how Cloudflare prevents abuse, though most note the 60-minute expiration limits risk. Comparisons to Netlify Drop (also from ~2014) and BitBalloon are common. Several share their own alternative tools for similar disposable hosting needs. A few commenters highlight potential for data exfiltration or spear-phishing, but counter that existing services already enable this.
