Robert "Bobby" Caskin Prince III died on June 16, 2026, at age 81. He composed for Doom, Doom II, Wolfenstein 3D, Rise of the Triad, and Duke Nukem 3D. In 2026, the Doom soundtrack was selected for the Library of Congress. He received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006. Prince was also a Vietnam War veteran, attorney, and counselor. He is survived by his wife Connie, two sons, a granddaughter, and many other family members.
